February 20, 2012 1 comment

Hey oh! Hey oh! There’s something new at¬†PIZZA DE ORO! ūüôā¬†

Pizza de Oro is one of the famous pizza places in town because of their WHITE PIZZA. They are the only ones offering this unique kind of pizza having crispy crust and yummy fillings. Available in different flavors, customers will surely love their home-made pizzas!

The following are my favorites in PIZZA DE ORO. I would definitely recommend them. Go try!

Hawaiian Ham and Cheese

Since its humble beginnings, Pizza De Oro continues to improve as they address the needs of their customers. They recently transferred to a more bigger and accessible area in the city. Not only that, it has also become a must-visit place in Cagayan de Oro as they already have the ACOUSTIC NIGHTS wherein customers will be serenaded by acoustic renditions while having fun with their pizzas and booze.

PIZZA DE ORO¬†is indeed no longer an ordinary pizza house. It’s a perfect place to chill and bond with friends! You might be able to get a chance to sing-out too! ūüôā Plus, PIZZA DE ORO is coming up with new ideas! What’s that? It will be a surprise you will surely enjoy!

See yah!

First Halloween Fun Run in CDO

November 17, 2011 Leave a comment

Hi everyone! I’m back! Yeah, it’s been awhile since my last blogpost because my LOVE’s here. What am I up to lately? Was very busy in the past few weeks. Attended a lot of activities especially on the first week of November (it was my semester break) and I’m actually dying to blog ’em all. I just wish I have the luxury of time to just blog, blog, and blog.

As you would notice, I am really fond of running. I started this addiction in February of this year and since then, no one could stop me from going an extra mile. And recently, I got to participate in a unique fun run here in CDO. It was the first Halloween Fun Run and people were running in their craziest costumes! From superheros, disney characters, cartoon characters, and halloween characters, everybody geared up for the craziest fun run this year!

Of course, I was there to RUN. I chose to be on the safe side by wearing a “customized” cheerleader costume which was still comfortable. I ran with my friend and we became sexy cheerleaders that night. ¬†I was still able to beat my record while enjoying the run. Though there were some glitches (which made me so disappointed that time), what is important is that I was able to give back to the community since the fun was also for a cause.

Here are my pre and post run photos:

Kagay-an Festival’s Golden Float and Drum & Bugle Parade and Competition 2011

September 1, 2011 4 comments

Cagayan de Oro City’s Golden Float Parade and Competition last Saturday, August 27, 2011 was very successful. The Kagay-anons¬†went to the streets to witness one of the awaited activities of the Golden Friendship’s Feast of St. Augustine. We, the CDOBloggers, were also there to cover for the event.

I found this parade SPECIAL!

It is the first time this year that the organizers of this activity combined the Golden Float and Drum & Bugle groups in one parade. That means to say, there were no dull moments as we wait for all the floats to pass by.

As usual, the different Drum & Bugle Corps. paraded in their colorful costumes and showcased their dancing and “instrument” abilities. Every group wowed the spectators!

What made it more special was the participation of City Central School’s SPED CENTER students. We are so glad that the teachers and the organizers¬†made an effort and have gone a long way to let these children be¬†included in activities such as this parade. Yes, they have talents too. And they can show to the whole world that they are worthy to be mainstreamed in our society. This is one great step to their full inclusion to the regular setting.

It was a wonderful sight!

Of course, the highlight goes to the different floats paraded. The floats were very spectacular. Each entry was made creatively and creators gave attention to details for sure. Cheers to the winning entry!

Despite being under the heat of the sun, people stayed and witnessed this once-in-a-year celebration! Till next years! Happy Fiesta!

Incubus Live in Manila 2011! I was there!

August 7, 2011 Leave a comment

Incubus Live in Manila 2011 was awesome! I never thought in my entire lifetime I would be able to watch this band perform live but I did! This is the second time they performed in the Philippines and they were still able to have the Araneta Colisuem filled with people.

As the gates opened, we went inside the coliseum right away and waited for the show to start. After a couple of minutes, Franco, a Filipino Rock supergroup comprised of members from other bands began playing as the front-act of the concert. They played 5 songs. Or at least, that’s what I remember.

After which, the assistants of Incubus set-up the stage. People began screaming at this point. I guess that’s just how excited we were with Incubus!

After a couple of minutes, finally Brandon Boyd and the rest of the band members came to the stage and electrified us with their much smashed hit Megalomaniac. People began standing, screaming, singing along, and taking videos and photos. Because people were singing along, you could no longer hear the voice of Brandon clearly! Araneta was on a high!!!! They played a lot of songs from their previous albums and their new ones. And as expected, they sang Nice To Know You as their farewell.

All in all, it was a very great concert! Sulit! I never regretted that we went there all the way from Cagayan de Oro just to watch them live! ūüôā

By the way, Mike the guitarist wrecked his guitars and an amplifier during the concert. I guess that’s just how perfectionist he is when it comes to their music.¬†

We took videos and will be uploaded soon. For the meantime, here are some photos from the concert. Sorry for the quality because these were just taken from my digital camera.
