Please support our Outreach Program and Feeding Activity at Cadayunan Primary School!

November 22, 2011 Leave a comment

The CDOBloggers will be having an outreach program and feeding activity on December 2, 2011 at Cadayunan Primary School, a newly opened public school in Besigan.  Besigan is 52 kilometers away from the Cagayan de Oro city proper and most of the people in the area are farmers with no regular transportation except dump trucks from the city government which help transport their farm products. Before Cadayunan Primary School was approved last March 2011, children had to walk 12 kilometers everyday to and from the nearest school resulting to most of them skipping school and eventually stop.

Recently opened last June 2011, Besigan is blessed to have this newly opened school and children now are able to access education. Currently, the school has 60+ pupils and 2 teachers. The school is really in need of learning materials which will aid pupils’ learning and aid teachers’ instruction.

All the CDOBloggers members have already pledged to donate for this outreach program but we still need contributions of any kind. Please email us at cdobloggersinc@gmail.com  if you wish to help or take part of this outreach. And to our fellow bloggers and netizens we also accept donations through paypal (francis.siason@gmail.com).

BENMORE Blended Scotch Whisky is now available in Cagayan de Oro City!

November 20, 2011 Leave a comment

BENMORE Four Casks Blended Scotch Whisky is the newest whisky that is produced and distilled in Scotland. It is matured in four different types of oak casks (Sherry, Bourbon, Charred, and Refill) to achieve depth and complexity to match the standards of whisky drinkers, to give the harmony between mellow tastes and scotch aroma, including malt and peat aroma with the hint of smokiness and most importantly, to five you an even smoother Scotch whisky experience.”

It is made by DIAGEO, the maker of popular brands like Johnnie Walker. “Alcohol content is 40%. The bottle and box are embossed with the iconic stag that symbolizes leadership, superiority, and masculinity.”

Despite its classy and world-class packaging, BENMORE, unlike most whiskies, is VERY AFFORDABLE. A 700 ml bottle costs P370.00 only. Each bottle contains 22 shots that can be enjoyed on the rocks, with water, iced tea, soda/tonic, or cola.

It is now the number 2 brand in Thailand and is already making a mark in Asian countries such as the Philippines. The great news is that it is now available in Cagayan de Oro City. Last Friday, the BENMORE Scotch Whisky was officially launched through a press conference with its brand ambassador BORGY MANOTOC at Generations Bar and bar tour at Club Pulse and Tilt.

The Kagay-anons will surely love this product!!

First Halloween Fun Run in CDO

November 17, 2011 Leave a comment

Hi everyone! I’m back! Yeah, it’s been awhile since my last blogpost because my LOVE’s here. What am I up to lately? Was very busy in the past few weeks. Attended a lot of activities especially on the first week of November (it was my semester break) and I’m actually dying to blog ’em all. I just wish I have the luxury of time to just blog, blog, and blog.

As you would notice, I am really fond of running. I started this addiction in February of this year and since then, no one could stop me from going an extra mile. And recently, I got to participate in a unique fun run here in CDO. It was the first Halloween Fun Run and people were running in their craziest costumes! From superheros, disney characters, cartoon characters, and halloween characters, everybody geared up for the craziest fun run this year!

Of course, I was there to RUN. I chose to be on the safe side by wearing a “customized” cheerleader costume which was still comfortable. I ran with my friend and we became sexy cheerleaders that night.  I was still able to beat my record while enjoying the run. Though there were some glitches (which made me so disappointed that time), what is important is that I was able to give back to the community since the fun was also for a cause.

Here are my pre and post run photos:
